In my previous post, I went through the details of how I came up with the theme and components of the R&R birthday party in a box that I sent to my SIL Christine. Planning everything out took a couple days during the week, and I had the weekend to buy all the goodies. If I had more time, I would have liked to include more decorations in the box to make it more festive, but overall it wasn’t too shabby.
Spa Birthday Party in a Box
So the final party in a box consisted of two parts:
- Rest & Relaxation: I was going for spa-like items that Christine could actually use. This part of the gift contained a spa robe, flip flops, a vanilla candle (not pictured), a spa gift certificate for some real pampering, and a pink tote bag. Everything except the gift certificate came from Target.
- Party: I wanted this part of the gift to be cutesy… on-the-go snacks that Christine could munch on and share if she wanted. This part of the gift had Mint Milano minis (my faves), a snack pack of crackers and hummus (a girls’ gotta eat), a “Happy Birthday” headband (not pictured, but very classy, lol), pink paper plates, striped napkins, and a Spotify gift card. A little bubbly would have been the perfect touch, but whatevs.
For your listening pleasure, here’s the playlist I created for Christine. It’s a little bit country, a little bit rock n roll with a touch of funky fresh beats and some pop for good measure.
Here’s what the final birthday party in a box looked like, all packaged up.
I think Christine enjoyed the little surprise we sent her. It was a lot of fun coming up with something that would be useful to such a hard worker like she!
What type of party in a box would you send to a friend or loved one?
